SUMMARY:War Animal Last Post Service
DESCRIPTION:Take part in a very special Last Post Service commemorating the invaluable contributions of animals in war. \n \n \nFrom transport\, messengers\, protectors\, mascots and support animals to cherished pets\, animals have played a vital role in every Australian conflict. A variety of service animals and their handlers will be in attendance to mark War Animal Day\, and the service will conclude with the release of homing pigeons. \nYou and your (leashed) furry friends are invited to pay your respects at this special event. \nSunday 25 February\, 4.45pm–5.15pm\nSecond World War Memorial Forecourt\nFree\, no bookings required \nThis venue is wheelchair accessible. \nThis event is child-friendly. \nIn recognition of War Animal Day (24 February)\, this service will pay tribute to the remarkable deeds and sacrifices of animals in times of war. \nThroughout history\, animals have served as indispensable assets in various roles\, including transport\, messengers\, protectors\, mascots\, support animals\, and cherished pets.
