DESCRIPTION:The RAAF – Post Force Structure Review.\n \n \nAir Commodore Joe Medved\nDirector General\, Defence Aviation Safety Authority \n\nTopic: The RAAF – Post Force Structure Review. \n\nAir Commodore Medved joined the Royal Australian Air Force in 1992 and graduated from the Australian Defence Force Academy as an Aeronautical Engineering Officer. In his career\, AIRCDRE Medved has held aviation engineering\, technical and program management positions in Defence operational\, sustainment\, acquisition and aviation safety regulatory organisations. He has broad technical experience spanning maintenance\, design\, type certification\, and aviation safety regulations supporting Defence fixed and rotary wing aviation capabilities. \nAir Commodore Medved is an experienced aviation safety professional and was appointed as the Director General Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) in December 2020. The DASA is responsible for providing an independent investigatory capability and aviation safety regulatory functions for Defence.\nAir Commodore Medved holds an undergraduate degree in Aeronautical Engineering and post graduate degrees in Aircraft Vehicle Design\, Aerospace Engineering and Business Management. He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Fellow with Engineers Australia. \n\nCoffee and Tea from 12.00 pm.
