AWM Author Talk – 27th British Commonwealth Brigade in Korea – David Allison
September 16 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Join us for our author talks series in the AWM theatre, bringing together some of Australia’s leading voices to talk about their new books.
When North Korea invaded South Korea in June 1950, the newly formed 27th British Commonwealth Brigade was among the first United Nations reinforcements sent to the front.
Drawing on his new book, 27th British Commonwealth Brigade in Korea – The Fire Brigade, David Allison explores how soldiers from Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and India became a cohesive fighting force during nine months of demanding operations, culminating in the Brigade’s critical role in the defence of Kapyong in April 1951.
