The book breaks new ground by shedding light on an essentially unexplored aspect of the war: the histories of the men – and women – who served in the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces. Drawn from a new oral history collection at the National Library of Australia, South Vietnamese Soldiers examines the experiences of two generations of soldiers and provides insights on their military service as well as their postwar lives.
