The Pipeclay ANZAC Day Luncheon
April 25 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Pipeclay ANZAC Day Luncheon honours the bravery and sacrifice of Australian soldiers who served in the First World War and later conflicts. This year, we reflect on the 1918 Battle of Montbrehain, the last action involving Australian infantry on the Western Front, where the 6th Brigade of the 2nd Australian Division captured the village and broke the Hindenburg Line, despite heavy casualties.
Guests will enjoy a 2-course lunch while Dr Rob Webster OAM, former Victorian RSL President and veteran, explores the significance of Montbrehain and its connections to the Shrine Guard. Dr Webster’s presentation draws on his extensive experience with veterans’ commemorations, including the 2018 centenary in France. This luncheon provides a moment of remembrance and reflection for all attendees.
Ticket includes 2-course plated lunch. Drinks at bar prices.
