Victorian Expo (Geelong)
Military History and Heritage Victoria Inc. members Fort Queenscliff Museum, Cooee History and Heritage and the Victorian Branch Inc of the Military Historical Society of Australia are taking advantage of a major history-genealogy-heritage event for all Victoria.  The Victorian Expo of Unlock the Past, is being held in Geelong over 2-3 September 2011 at the Geelong Arena in North Geelong.

The MHHV member organisations will join the display at the exhibitor hall where over 150 exhibitors will have tables, adding a military history and heritage dimension to local and family history societies, libraries, archives, other museums, and product and service suppliers.

In addition, MHHV member Cooee History and Heritage will give two presentations during the content-rich programme – how to write and research military biographies using the example of a colonial Volunteer cavalryman and police officer with strong Geelong connections, as well as a presentation on how to research pre-Federation military ancestors.
