Minefields and Miniskirts
January 1, 1970 @ 10:00 am
The National Vietnam Veterans Museum is proud to be hosting 4 performances of Minefields and Miniskirts – A play by Terence O’Connell adapted from the book of the same name by Siobhan McHugh.
Almost a thousand Australian women took part in the conflict in Vietnam – the accounts of fifty women directly affected by the war are compressed into five characters: The journalist; the volunteer; the veteran’s wife; the entertainer; the nurse. Well loved songs from the era punctuate five interwoven monologues to create a performance that will move and entertain you.
This rehearsed play reading will be staged amongst the exhibits within the Museum, providing an atmospheric backdrop for the cast and audience alike. The audience will have the opportunity to meet the actors after the performance.
