As a prelude to the 2015 Anzac centenary, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, AC, AFC (Retired) explores ideas of service and sacrifice, and Australia’s special relationship with New Zealand. The 30-minute talk will be followed by Q&A with Jill Singer.

ACM Angus Houston was the Chief of the Defence Force from 4 July 2005 until 4 July 2011, when he retired from the military after 41 years of service. In 2011, Angus was named the Australian Father of the Year and in 2012 the ACT Australian of the Year. Angus was Chair of the Anzac Centenary Advisory Board from July 2011 until March 2014. In 2012, he led the Expert Panel on Asylum Seekers.
